By uniting our resources and expertise, we continue our mission of protecting people’s assets and providing exceptional insurance and real estate services across West Central Iowa.

A Legacy
of Trust & Growth

Heritage Insurance & Real Estate has a long history of service and evolution. Founded before World War II by Dennis Brannan and Dale Carpenter, the agency remained operational during their military service, thanks to their wives, Pearl and Adelade.

In 1967, Bruce Annear took over, incorporating the Don Anderson Agency. The business changed hands again in 1989 and was purchased in 1991 by J. Wiltsie Cretsinger and Fred Dolezal, who renamed it Coon Rapids Insurance & Real Estate. By 2006, Cretsinger became the sole owner, expanding into Audubon and acquiring Craig and Stacy MacDonald’s Insurance Agency in Jefferson.

As part of continued growth, Cretsinger brought in Jeremy Greiner, now Vice President, ensuring Heritage Insurance remains a trusted partner for generations to come.
